Shrink a PDF before sharing it
Email attachment limits, upload forms, and slow connections all hate large PDFs. Drop your file above, pick a resolution and quality level, and download a smaller version — with a live before/after size comparison.

Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to compress it?
No. Every page is re-rendered and re-compressed by a PDF engine running in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.
How does this shrink the file?
Each page is re-rendered as a JPEG at your chosen resolution and quality, then repacked into a new PDF — the same idea printers use for 'print to PDF'. It works especially well on scanned documents and image-heavy PDFs.
Will the text still be selectable?
No — pages are converted to images, so text becomes part of the picture and is no longer selectable or searchable. If you need to keep selectable text, don't compress; just share the original.
What settings should I use?
Medium resolution with 60% quality is a good default for sharing over email. Drop to Low resolution for maximum shrinkage, or use High resolution if the PDF will be printed.
